Meet Ken Rabow:
Master Level Mentor

“After over twenty years, I know one thing with certainty: the young adult who cannot get out of bed, who loses every job, who cannot finish a semester, is not willful or entitled. They are stuck. There is a pattern running quietly in the background generating all of that behavior. Once we name it, everything changes.”

There is a pattern running quietly in the background generating all of that behavior. Once we name it, everything changes.”
Ken Rabow did not set out to become a mentor. He set out to be a musician.
For over twenty years he was exactly that, a professional drummer, composer, arranger, and music teacher. He studied with Jazz masters, trained in voice and conducting, and taught music in schools. What he discovered during those years, without fully realizing it at the time, was that teaching music was never really about music. It was about meeting a young person exactly where they were and drawing out what was already inside them.
Then in 2007, a life-altering car accident closed that chapter. Ken turned his full attention to what he had always done best. He has not stopped since.
Over twenty years later, Ken has built an original method unlike anything else available. He names what is happening, not the diagnosis but the specific pattern running quietly in the background. He holds the evidence of their progress until they are strong enough to hold it themselves. He works across the whole person at once, body, structure, relationships, direction, because these are not separate problems. And he does all of this during the specific window when a young adult is trying to become themselves, the window no other profession has properly claimed.
He has worked with young adults facing failure to launch, severe anxiety, depression, high-functioning autism and Asperger’s, addiction, bipolar disorder, and the particular despair of having no idea what they are made for. Most of them had already been through therapy. What they had not had was someone who worked across everything at once, named what was actually happening, and stayed with them until it changed.
The first step is a free 15-minute consultation. You describe your situation. Ken listens. He will tell you honestly whether this is a fit and what working together would look like. No pressure. No script. Just a real conversation about your child, with someone who has had this conversation hundreds of times and has never stopped believing in the person on the other end of it.
